To drive out ISIS, Iraq has accepted military and financial support from Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait.
The UAE are pledging to provide military support for Iraq including 40,000 ground troops, air forces and financial aid. 350 million dollars is being granted to Iraq’s government from UAE to finance equipment amongst other expenses.
Iran is contributing 240,000 troops, which will remain near the border. Kuwait and Qatar are also granting Iraq financial support, but are unable to provide manpower.
The Nigerian oil minister will be acting as a military advisor as he is a former veteran and security expert.
Agreements were set today, October 19th 2014. Forces will be retreated after the crisis is solved.
