Recent reports contradict the success of french airstrikes regarding the jihadists' march towards Baghdad. While the bombardment did hit an important tactical target, the impact was not enough to stop ISIL in their tracks.

Jihadist troops are still on their way towards Baghdad. Iraqi forces picked up the russian weaponry, leaving the city's defense to the US military personnel stationed there. Just north of Baghdad, three cities house ISIL divisions - Sudur Dam, Tarmlyah and Dujall. According to unconfirmed reports, these troops are now marching towards Iraq's capital.
