Recent reports spoke about a deal between Turkey and ISIS. Apparently, the deal had been made between a corrupt Turkish general and ISIS. The government of Turkey was not aware of this general’s actions. The Turkish government remain strong in their belief that ISIS must be stopped.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed this morning that the country's stance against the jihadist Islamic state has not changed. He argued that the situation has gotten ugly with those latest developments. He will confer with his staff to take tough measures against military corruption. Now the crisis has shifted inwards to the Turkish State.
The American President Barack Obama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today agreed to strengthen their cooperation in order to combat ISIS.
"The two leaders pledged to continue their efforts and work together to strengthen their cooperation to tackle ISIS”, said a statement from the White House.
